AVG DataCenter Configuration

1. AVG DataCenter mode selection
   AVG DataCenter allows you to work in two modes:
   
   
   • Mandatory mode
     The compulsory AVG client configuration is set up in the AVG DataCenter, and only the administrator has the rights to change it.
   
   
   
   • Monitoring mode
     The compulsory AVG client configuration is set up in the AVG DataCenter, but users can access the AVG DataCenter, and change their station's configuration as needed.
   
   The AVG DataCenter mode settings
   
   • from the Start/Programs menu launch the AVGADMIN application
   • from the main menu select the Application/DataCenter mode folder
   • in the new AVG DataCenter mode settings dialog window select the desired mode (Mandatory mode is recommended!)


2. The user / workstation schedules configuration

For all users and workstations default parameters (station properties, test schedules, update schedules) are defined but you can change them as needed.

Setting up the AVG DataCenter configuration:

• from the Start/Programs menu, launch the AVGADMIN application
• from the left menu, select one or more features you want to configure from the Station/User/All settings possibilities
• in the station (user, all settings) list choose the one you want to configure
• double-click the selected station to open a window with editable parameters
