Central Updates Management
Central update management allows the network administrator to update AVG Anti-Virus on all AVG clients at once. The update can be performed from two sources:
- Updates from the Internet
The update can be performed directly from the Grisoft company server using the Internet.
- Local web server / AVG TCP Server updates
Local web server (AVG TCP Server) update is the recommended way of updating in local network. There is a local web server (Microsoft IIS, Apache, ...) running in the network, and all AVG clients are configured to update from this server. The local web server functionality can be obtained using the AVG TCP Server, and thus it can be used as a local update source as well.
