AVG Anti-Virus update on a client workstation

To keep your network's protection at maximum level, it is crucial to update your AVG Anti-Virus regularly. The update is a part of the AVG Anti-Virus default settings, and can be performed directly from the AVG client workstation.

On demand update
On demand update is an immediate AVG Anti-Virus update that can be performed any time the need arises.
In AVG Anti-Virus user interface select the Update option, and decide whether you want to update from the Internet, or from the network directory.

Planned update
Within the AVG Anti-Virus it is also possible to pre-set an update plan. The planned update is then performed periodically according to the set up configuration. The update files are downloaded either directly from the Internet, or from the network directory.

from the Internet: AVG Anti-Virus 7.1 / Control Panel / Scheduler / New schedule button / Task tab / Schedule / Update
from the network directory:
- select a network directory to become the source directory for AVG client updates
- download the update files from the Internet into the selected directory
- in the AVG Anti-Virus user interface select Control Center / Scheduler / New schedule button / Task tab / Schedule / Update from directory

For both update types you can then set up a regular update time and other parameters of program behavior.
